Al manipular la materia y sus propiedades en rangos de átomos y moléculas a tan diminuta dimensión los científicos son capaces de crear mediante el uso de la Nanotecnología materiales, aparatos e innovadores sistemas con características únicas dado su tamaño y materiales utilizados.<br /><br />En materia de celulares los avances son importantes y cada vez más alentadores, en este ámbito El Centro de Investigación y desarrollo de la empresa fabricante Nokia en conjunto con la Universidad de Cambridge han realizado y mostrado a la luz pública un prototipo llamado “Morph”, este teléfono móvil conceptual demuestra cómo los futuros dispositivos podrían ser expansibles, adoptables y totalmente flexibles, otorgando la facultad al usuario de transformar su teléfono móvil en formas radicalmente particulares y poco probables de llevar a cabo en los teléfonos móviles de hoy en día. Esto demuestra, en última instancia, que la funcionalidad de la Nanotecnología puede ser capaz de ofrecer sistemas electrónicos transparentes y totalmente limpios en superficies.<br /><br />Según análisis realizados se ha estimado que Nokia está invirtiendo casi 100 millones de dólares en proyectos de investigación y desarrollo que se centran en la nanotecnología. Otro logro significativo por parte de la compañía finlandesa es un experimento que transformaría la forma de navegación satelital y GPS a través de los conductores en autopistas y vías congestionadas. El sistema se alimentaria con información combinada en tiempo real, creando una imagen virtual de las velocidades de tráfico, avance y tiempos de viaje previstos según las situaciones dadas en directo.<br /><br />A esto se añade que la nanotecnología prontamente podría mejorar los teléfonos móviles en aspectos físicos ocupando nanotubos de carbono, tubos de vacío, micrófonos microscópicos, pantallas líquidas, aplicaciones de rastreo vinculados con sistemas de posicionamiento global satelital, e incluso prototipos que asimilarían el sentido del olfato como narices electrónicas.<br /><br />Justamente, en el sentido de imitar los sentidos y capacidades de la anatomía humana, los científicos también están desarrollando lentes de líquido que podrían ser ensamblados en los dispositivos móviles. Con todos estos progresos la nanociencia ha llevado a crear importantísimos avances que si bien no estarán disponibles en la inmediatez, si serán aplicables de manera tangible en dispositivos móviles en un lapso de tiempo cada vez más cercano, haciendo realidad de una vez por todas lo que hace mucho tiempo la mayoría de los científicos e investigadores buscan, esto equivale a productos de gama alta, con gran tecnología, con la diferencia de tener bajos costos de fabricación y producción, con soluciones de alta complejidad respecto a los parámetros que se manejan hoy en día.<br /><br />Esperemos que todos estos acontecimientos sean el preámbulo de una era tecnológica donde los artículos de punta, estén al alcance de todos o por lo menos la gran mayoría, y no solo de los que poseen
